– With great sadness and deep pain, we received the news about the terrible terrorist attack in Villach. Our thoughts and compassion are with victims of this pointless act of violence. We express our deepest condolences to the family of the murdered young man. We ask the sublime God to give them strength and compatibility in these difficult moments, and we want to violate a quick and successful recovery – said in a statement.
It is added how the Izda is unreservedly condemns this cowardly terrorist act.
– There is no place in our society violence and terror. Our community stands firmly with the value of peace, compassion and communion – the values that no act of hatred cannot violate – they said in a statement.
Out of respect for the victims and their families, the Islamic community of Bosniaks in Austria has canceled the celebration of the Work opening of the White Mosque in Villach, which was planned for 21. February. Instead, on the juma-prayer 21. February will be studied shared to peace and coexistence.
– May this tragic event remind us of the importance of community and solidarity. We must remain united against hatred, violence and terror. Our faith, our values and our humanity will always be stronger than any form of extremism – stated in a statement.
