The ANUBiH delegation included the vice-president, academician Lidija Lincender-Cvijetić, general secretary academician Asif Šabanović and secretary of the ANUBiH Secretariat Amra Avdagić, while the VKBI delegation consisted of the president, academician Kasim Trnka and general secretary Emir Zlatar.
Prime Minister Pivić pointed out that the ANUBiH is one of the most important institutions and a symbol of the statehood of BiH, and the VKBI is an organization that gathers Bosniak intellectuals with the aim of preserving the interests of not only Bosniaks, but also all other peoples and the entire BiH. society. He emphasized that they do their work on a volunteer basis out of love for science and their country, and they contribute to society as a whole.
The ZDK government, he added, also supports the mentioned institutions financially, and this year it allocated 25,000 KM each for that purpose.
– With this, we support work and strengthening, and we believe that in the future it will have stable funding at the state level, as it deserves. Until then, we will certainly continue to provide support to ANUBiH and VKBI – said Prime Minister NezirPivić. He announced that financial support to these institutions will be increased next year.

President of VKBI prof. Ph.D. Kasim Trnka also thanked for the previous support and understanding of the importance of the activities that this organization realizes. He announced that on Monday, December 22, the 33rd anniversary of the founding of VKBI will be celebrated in Sarajevo, when certificates of appreciation will be presented to individuals and institutions that contributed to the work of this organization, including the ZDK Government.
Trnka pointed out that VKBI, although it operates as a non-governmental organization, implements projects that in other countries are the responsibility of national institutions, such as the creation of encyclopedias and major scientific publications.
– That is why, with full legitimacy, we turn to the holders of public authority with the expectation that they support projects of national and state importance. We are glad that you responded and recognized the importance of our work – emphasized Trnka.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mirza Mushija emphasized the importance of these institutions as factors of integration and preservation of everything that holds the country together, but expressed regret that only the lower levels of government recognize this value, while the state level is absent.
– ANUBiH and VKBI have both the obligation and the strength to oppose the attacks on the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At a time when many forces are working to dissolve it, it is important that there is a clear counterpoint – said Mushija.
