The Oil Terminals of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that today they signed a contract worth 8.9 million KM with the company Hifa-Oil for the purchase of four million liters of oil and oil derivatives, which, they say, will be a significant part of the fuel reserves in this entity.
President of the Terminal Management Board Damir Kreso, member of the Management Board Adrijana Zarinković and on behalf of Hifa-Oil Venan Hadžiselimović signed the contract.
“With this contract, we significantly strengthen the strategic reserves of the FBiH, ensuring the stability of supply and the resilience of the energy system in crisis situations. This is an important step towards a safer and more independent energy future of the FBiH”, said Kreso.
Zarinković is proud that after 35 years the renovated Terminal Blažuj is being put back into operation.
“This project is not only a business success, but also a confirmation of our commitment to the modernization and long-term security of the FBiH’s energy capacities,” adds Zarinković.
The reserve system enables, as announced by the Oil Terminals, a timely reaction in crisis situations, ensures the continuity of supply and contributes to price stability in the event of disruptions in the supply chain or global instability. The fuel will be delivered to the terminal by rail, which further increases the efficiency and safety of the entire process.
The project was realized with the support of the Government of FBiH and the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of FBiH, which, as they assessed, is a confirmation of the strategic goal of strengthening the energy system and modernizing infrastructure capacities. The Terminal announced that it will continue to develop the system of reserves and infrastructure projects of strategic importance, ensuring long-term stability and security of energy supply, writes Klix.
