The bipartisan bill was passed this week by an almost shocking 427 votes to one, after which it goes to the Senate for further proceedings, where, according to initial estimates, it could also receive the bipartisan support of a convincing majority of a hundred senators. In about thirty days, the documents could become available to every American (and Internet user).
Thus, Trump and his loyal Secretary of Justice Pam Bondi found themselves at the very beginning of a saga that they spent months trying to put an end to together. However, unlike June of this year, when he still gave the impression of absolute power and control over all branches of government in the US, the president enters the battle he tried to avoid visibly more politically vulnerable.
Inflation continues to run rampant. Data released in October 2025 showed that food prices rose by 0.3 percent from August to September, after a significant jump of 0.6 percent, which was the biggest monthly increase in three years.
By the end of the year, the Ministry of Agriculture predicts that the total price of food will increase by three percent, which is faster than the twenty-year average of 2.9 percent. The increase in the price of eggs, a food item that marked last year’s presidential election, is particularly dramatic. They are projected to grow by 24.8 percent by the end of 2025 — in large part due to tariffs.
Instead of the security he promised them at the beginning of his mandate, the citizens notice chaos and unnecessary cruelty. In addition, the recent local elections crystallized new cracks in the MAGA movement due to which — as is usually the case in politics — “the first rats began to leave the ship that seems to be slowly sinking.”
Epstein’s case served as a catalyst for growing discontent, and perhaps the biggest irony in that is hidden in the fact that the main role in the biggest blow to Donald Trump’s reputation and power since his return to power was played by three hitherto unconditionally loyal MAGA Republicans. In addition to the aforementioned Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert from Colorado and Nancy Mace from South Carolina are also responsible for that shocking turn.
All three women have experienced various threats and bribery attempts by the White House in recent months. Unlike Boebert, who was allegedly even invited by Trump’s associates to the famous situation room in the White House for a “friendly conversation about the priorities of Congress”, Greene openly admitted these days that officials of the current administration and Trump sympathizers directly threatened her with death, accusing her of high treason. She did not owe them anything.
“I will tell them who is a traitor to the people: every American who primarily serves himself, and then other nations, while America is in third place. A patriot is someone who is ready to put everything on the line to serve his countrymen. It is clear to everyone which category I belong to, and which category they belong to,” she said publicly.
For Trump, perhaps the most unfavorable circumstance of this unpleasant situation is hidden in the fact that he was dealt a blow by MAGA representatives who — no matter how hard he tries — he cannot possibly present as “old-fashioned Republicans who have not yet embraced the new normal”. Another unfavorable trend for the Republicans, which they have only partially noticed, also contributes to this.
Namely, the MAGA movement was so focused on the fact that they won over young men in the last election cycle that they completely lost sight of the fact that they are rapidly losing the support of American women due to the increasingly toxic manosphere.
As the party’s top brass, from Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly to US Vice President JD Vance himself, have sought in recent days to relativize the neo-Nazi oeuvre of podcaster Nick Fuentes in an attempt to woo his gropers, the lead that Democratic candidates — especially moderates — enjoy over Republican MAGA opponents has begun to approach 20 percent.
If Trump’s entourage had not been completely hit in the head by power, they would have learned a lesson from all this and used the aforementioned trio from Congress to bridge the gender gap ahead of the 2026 elections, which they must not lose at any cost. But, as is usually the case, hand in hand with (absolute) power comes (uncontrolled) excess that leads directly to ruin.
