Suad Bešlić, the founder of the successful domestic company SU-AD from Kalesija, which is engaged in the production of fire trucks, spoke to BHRT about the drama he has been experiencing in recent weeks.
˝I had a problem of violence in the family home in Kalesija. A drug addict came in and attempted to kill my younger girl, my daughter. It was a horror. Before that, he kidnapped her and I then came to the total misunderstanding of the Kalesija police station. When I reported the case, the police officers showed unprofessionalism. We didn’t know for three days if that drug addict, criminal, was arrested. Who will protect us, how should we behave in all this. After three days they told me that he was arrested and I felt better. He defended himself with silence. That drug addict had a key to my house, entered, and they tell me to change the lock on the house. “They let him go free to defend himself,” Bešić said.
He states that he is disappointed in the system. ˝People from Bosnia and Herzegovina are leaving because they have no security. We need security, we have to come to our senses. The system must start working in the interest of citizens to protect us. That’s the problem with the whole story. People don’t come here because they don’t have anything to eat, our problem is that we don’t have security. If they are not capable of doing their job, let them leave it,” said Bešić.
TK Prosecution: Bešlić made a series of untrue allegations
In connection with the statements made by Suad Bešlić from Kalesija in the show “Dan živovo” on BHT, we are obliged to clarify the true state of affairs in the case of the Police Administration of Kalesija and the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton. Bešlić’s statement contained a number of untrue allegations.
˝ Namely, on September 30, 2025, SB (born in 2006) approached the Kalesija Police Department and filed a complaint against AH (born in 2006) for violent behavior. The initial statement (application) for the actions undertaken by the suspect AH in relation to the victim was submitted 15 days after the first event, so not immediately.
The police officers of PU Kalesija immediately informed the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of TK about this and acted according to his order, and after reporting the victim, they immediately went to the field, made an official note, took a statement from the applicant, made photo documentation of the injuries suffered by the victim, went to the scene in her family home, removed all traces from the scene, conducted an investigation, interviewed several people as witnesses, questioned the suspect and collected numerous other material evidence related to the reported actions. The same was also done in cooperation with Sapna Police Station, because some of the events and actions that were reported also related to this area, considering that it was a series of events that were reported.
In her statement, the applicant and the witness said that the applicant and she were in an emotional relationship and that problems often arose in their relationship.
During the taking of the statement, the injured party said that she does not join the criminal prosecution and that she will not file a property claim.
Regardless, the police officers carried out checks and investigative actions related to what was reported within eight days, collected material evidence, and on October 8, 2025, submitted to this Prosecutor’s Office a report on the criminal offense committed against AH due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense – Violent Behavior – from Article 336, Paragraph 2 of the FBiH Criminal Code.
Also, the police officers, by order of the prosecutor on duty, after carrying out checks and obtaining evidentiary materials, requested from the Kalesija Municipal Court that the reported person, i.e. the perpetrator of violence, be given protective measures prohibiting him from approaching the victim of violence in any area. This court issued a decision imposing these protective measures on the violent person (on October 9, 2025).
In the cooperation of authorized police officers with prosecutors in the work on cases, there are clearly prescribed procedures, and the prosecutor on duty was informed about the investigative actions and the measures being taken by the police officers of the PU Kalesi during the entire investigation.
Mr. Bešlić’s statements that the chief prosecutor of this Prosecutor’s Office was informed about these actions are also incorrect, and that after being informed, he said that it was Friday and that the weekend was coming, and that he would check it on Monday. The chief prosecutor immediately contacted the head of the Kalesija Police Department, who informed him of the actions taken by the Kalesija Police Department on the orders of the duty prosecutor.
We will not present the actions from the description of the criminal offense that were documented by the police officers in a very short period of time, not for the sake of protecting the suspect, but because these are events that lasted for a long time, which were not immediately reported, and that some of those actions could compromise both the applicant and the victim of the criminal act of violent behavior.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the TK acts with due care in this, as in every other case in the work, and such statements of Mr. Bešlić, spoken in the program of the Public Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are inaccurate, malicious and are an unjustified attempt to discredit the police authorities and prosecutors.
