British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on Israel on Friday to give up his plan to take control of the city of Gaz, calling that move “wrong” and warning that only worsen the conflict.
– That action will not do anything to end this conflict or to ensure the gap release. It will only bring more bloodshed, “Starmer said.
His comments followed a few hours after the Israeli army announced that “take control” over the city of Gaz according to the plan proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah, and approved his security cabinet.
The Starmer government is becoming increasingly louder in the requirements for Israel to deescalate its war on the Palestinian territory, stating all the deeper humanitarian crisis.
Last week, the starmer warned Britain would formally recognize the Palestinian State in September if Israel would not take “significant steps”, including consent to the ceasefire in Gaza.
– The Israeli decision on the further escalation of its offensive in Gaza is wrong and invite him to reconsider his decision – he said on Friday.
– Every day, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deteriorates, and hostages that Hamas took hold in terrible and inhuman conditions. What we need is a ceasefire, the increase in humanitarian aid, the release of all hostages by Hamas and an agreed solution – he emphasized.
The starmer said the United Kingdom and its allies “work on a long-term peace insurance in the region within the two-state solution.”
