Yesterday, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Donji Žabar, Pelagićevo and Orašje conducted searches of apartments, auxiliary facilities and movable property at ten locations, including one department of the Orašje Correctional Institution in Orašje.
Ten persons were deprived of their liberty, including one person who is serving a prison sentence in Orašje Penitentiary. The persons were deprived of their liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they had committed the criminal acts of “Organized crime” and “Unauthorized traffic in narcotic drugs” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After criminal processing and interrogation as suspects, six persons will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina by order of the acting prosecutor.
During the search, about 5 kilograms of herbal substance, which by its appearance is associated with the narcotic drug marijuana, three passenger motor vehicles, 8,000 euros, 6,730 convertible marks, a mixture for mixing drugs, measuring scales, heaters, lamps and other items used in the preparation of a mixture for mixing narcotic drugs, mobile phones, schedules, records and other items that can serve as evidence that the aforementioned criminal offenses were committed, were discovered and temporarily confiscated. works.
The aforementioned activities were carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in cooperation with the police officers of the Border Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska and the Police of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA announced.
