Simeone publicly apologized to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior on Monday after the controversial incident during the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, admitting his behavior was “not appropriate”.
“I would like to apologize to Mr. Florentino and also to Mr. Viníius for what was seen. It is obviously not right on my part to put myself in such a situation and I accept that I was wrong,” said the Argentine coach at a press conference after the morning training session.
