In the Cantonal Court in Mostar, a hearing was held this morning for Anis Kalajdžić, who is suspected of the serious murder of a woman and unauthorized acquisition and possession of weapons.
The hearing was held at the request of the HNK Prosecutor’s Office, which had previously requested the detention of Kalajdžić, who is suspected of killing Aldina Jahić from Kalesija over the weekend.
Kalajdžić’s ex officio lawyer, Nermin Dizdar, stated that the defense opposes the order of detention and proposed a measure of injunction.
Acting prosecutor Vesna Pranjić said that she completely stands by her proposal – detention measures, because that is the only way in this particular case to ensure that the crime is not repeated and to appease the public, reports BHRT.
In the motion for custody, the HNK Prosecution stated that the suspect Kalajdžić hit Aldina several times, after which he followed her to a nearby bar, where he eventually killed her.
“Suspect Anis K. is charged with having on November 16 around 6 pm at the bus station in Mostar, Trg Ivana Krndelja bb, after having previously obtained a gun illegally and which he had in his unauthorized possession, waited for AJ in front of the fitness center, who was training there, and approached her and punched her several times in the head and chest area, from which she defended herself by holding her hands in front of her,” the HNK Prosecutor’s Office stated in the proposal.
Then, according to the report, at one point he took out a gun, and she ran in the direction of the hotel “T..”, Trg Ivana Krndelja bb in Mostar, fearing for her safety. She told passers-by in fear to call the police because a man was following her and threatening her with a gun, and then she entered the restaurant “B..” and called the police on her cell phone.
Suspect Kalajdžić came and found the victim in the toilet while she was trying to call for help again, so he approached her and shot her in the head with a gun, inflicting fatal injuries from which she died on the spot.
Detention was requested for the reason that special circumstances justify the fear that he will repeat the criminal offense, for which a prison sentence of three years or a heavier sentence can be imposed, and due to the existence of extraordinary circumstances, considering that this is a particularly serious criminal offense, and considering the manner in which it was committed and the consequences of the criminal offense.
The decision on custody is expected in the next three days, it says Klix.
