Selmir has already joined the team during the preparations in Medulin in order to continue working and playing with the football players from Velež.
Selmir Pidro was born on March 3, 1998 in Bugojno. The beginning of his career was marked by his performance in the academy of Sarajevo, where he recorded three goals and eleven assists in the 31st match. In mid-January 2018, as a loan player from Sarajevo, he moved to the ranks of Visoko Bosna, where in half a year of his stay in Visoko, he made thirteen appearances, scoring two goals. Selmir spent the next four years in Sarajevo, where he played the highest number of games in his career so far, 92, scoring one goal with seven assists. With the burgundy team, he won the double crown in the 2018/2019 season. The season after that, Pidro again became the champion of our league with Sarajevo, and in the 2020/2021 season, he won the second title of the BiH Cup. At the beginning of 2022, this defensive soccer player will move to the American league in the ranks of St. Luis City where in 24 appearances he has a balance of one goal and two assists. In the summer of 2023, as a loan player from America, he transferred to the Czech Zlin. In the aforementioned club, he played 22 matches without a performance, after which he returned to America, where he joined the Velež Mostar football club.
Selmir’s loan to FK Velež expired on the last day of 2025, after which he was a free agent. Nevertheless, the Management of our Club did a good job and Selmir is a new-old player of the club from Mostar.
