There is an evident of the trend of water levels on the Sava. Active defense measures from floods are carried out in accordance with the Federal Operational Flood Defense Plan. Representatives of the AVP Sava are still in the field and visit areas of Odžačka and Central Posavina, where protective water objects are built. According to prognostic models, the termination of regular flood defense measures can be expected at the end of the week.
The Agency regularly reviews and detailed water level analysis on the network of automatic hydrological stations on the water area of the Sava River in the Federation of BiH. It is regular monitoring and prognosis of precipitation and water levels for Una, Sana, Vrbas, Bosnia, Drina and complete Sava basin.
The change in the weather forecast may also affect the forecasted hydrological condition. In the event of a significant change in the weather conditions on the Sava River, the Agency shall issue a timely release of an emergency hydrological condition.
– We suggest to the competent institutions to follow the situation in the field and act in accordance with the authorities, and the services implemented by the measures and rescue of people and material goods, we recommend enhanced caution – the statement said.
The competent civil protection services should warn the population of the ability to the banks with regard to possible increase in depths and railways, and in a timely manner to make the population in time to reduce flood damage.
