Bojan Zulfikarpašić is a pianist and composer of Sarajevo origin and one of the most important European jazz of the artists of today. He won the prestigious Victoires Du Jazz recognition in France, as well as the Chevalier des Arts et des Letter, one of the highest cultural decorations given by the French Ministry of Culture.
His authentic combination of the Balkan music tradition, jazz and classical music brought him the status of innovators and visionaries on the European scene.
Julien Lourau, French saxophonist and a multiple award-winning artist, is the winner of the prestigious Django Reinhardt Prize for Jazz Musicians in France.
Its work is characterized by constant exploration of musical borders – from Jazz, through hip-hop, Afro Beat to contemporary electronic expressions. Lourau performed on the most important festivals around the world and collaborated with numerous names of the contemporary scene.
The story of Bojana Zulfikarpašić and Julien Lourau is a story that connects friendship, both on personal and at the musical level. After playing in numerous Parisian clubs in the late 1980s, they found each other in the legendary band “Trash Corporation”, who, although he was a short life, some kind of their playground where they were overcoming the music borders.
From that period, they became one of the main forces of the European Jazz scene.
