According to the media, the Parisian club is offering him a three-year contract and a 500,000 euro weekly salary, which is a much better offer than the one the Reds put on the table. The current club offered him a two-year contract and “only” 400,000 euros a week.
The 32-year-old Egyptian, who publicly expressed problems in the negotiations with Liverpool, is the leading scorer of the Premier League with 17 goals this season, and the team from Anfield is at the top of the table with 45 points, six points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
