According to the RS Statistical Office, 32,262 tourists were realized in March this year, which compared to the same month last year by 2.9 percent, while compared to February this year is less than four percent.
During the third month, tourists generated 83,090 nights this year, which is 2.5 percent less than in March 2024. Compared to February this year, the number of overnight stays decreased by 6.9 percent.
Observing the structure of the guests, the total decline in the number of tourists arrived, the number of domestic tourists influenced by as many as ten percent less in March in March last year.
And that, from the Federation of BiH, is less by 17.9 percent registered guests, and from RS by 3.9 percent. The largest decline was recorded in the guests from the Brčko District of BiH, by 39.2 percent.

On the other hand, the number of foreign tourists increased by 3.3 percent.
Previously, hoteliers have alarmed the competent that the guests started canceling their reservations in that month and suffer damage. As a reason, they cited the fear of guests due to the unstable political situation.

In his opinion, one of the reasons is the absence of clear support to the promotion of domestic tourism. In the last three years, the support of the institutions for projects that would improve the tourist offer is absent.
– Vouchers are useful, but insufficient. A clear, perennial support for domestic tourism is needed, which does not rely on short-term submerses – Radić evaluates and adds that more responsibilities must be taken into account in local communities to animate domestic movements.
