Along with more than 43 embassies and organizations, 17 domestic entrepreneurs and five international schools, the State of Qatar was also represented at the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar this year, with the richest offer so far, and the Qatari divan was a real attraction for more than 10,000 visitors. Qatari culture, food, customs, as well as special messages from the Gulf country were presented.
In addition to the ambassadors of numerous countries participating in the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, the stand of the Embassy of the State of Qatar was also visited by Mrs. Mirela Bećirović, wife of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dr. Denis Bećirović.
“It is an honor for us to take part in the Winter Diplomatic Bazaar this year, all the more so because we are together with numerous friendly embassies and international and domestic organizations in a joint mission of supporting non-governmental and civil associations dedicated to the welfare of the children of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am proud because this year we presented ourselves with the most diverse content so far, with content that will make our stand perhaps the most visited. Visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the traditional specialties of Qatari cuisine and Arabic coffee, and to they are introduced to a rich selection of souvenirs, handicrafts, toys and other authentic products that reflect the cultural heritage of Qatar and our region”, said the Qatari ambassador in Sarajevo, NJ. He expressed his belief that this year’s bazaar will be extremely successful, especially thanks to the recognizable humanity and solidarity of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to whom we express our respect this time as well.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar will continue to remain dedicated to charitable projects and support initiatives aimed at helping the most vulnerable categories of the population in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, we once again want to confirm the strong friendship and successful cooperation between the State of Qatar and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have been developing stable and fruitful bilateral relations for 32 years. And this event should show that we are stronger together. So let’s enjoy the diversity of our cultures and let’s help those who need our support”, Ambassador Al-Attiyah concluded.
Mrs. Moza Saad MR al-Humaidi, first secretary of the Embassy of Qatar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mubarak Saeed OQ al-Marri, third secretary, as well as all employees of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Sarajevo, contributed to the successful organization of these activities.
Last year, a total of 275,000 KM was collected at the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar for children and young people, and this year the organizers hope to achieve record results.
In 2025 alone, thanks to donations collected at the bazaar, 27 organizations received support. The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar is a non-profit organization of the international community led by volunteers.
