The city councilor of Our Party in Tuzla, Dragana Berberović-Gagro, announced on her Facebook profile that the 18th victim of the recent fire in the Retirement Home in Tuzla has died. In her announcement, she pointed out that, although it is a great tragedy, there are still no changes, except for one resignation. As confirmed for TIP, person she did not die as a hospitalized patient of the University Medical Center Tuzla.
˝There are no layoffs, no resignations (except for one), no arrests… The media is writing less and less. This is a defeat of humanity and responsibility. Where does this lead – she said. There are no further actions due to the alleged pimping of minors by the police, but that is why no one is reporting responsibility for the victims of the Retirement Home. Remember, when you go to the polls: there is neither a position nor an opposition, especially when they need each other. Everyone has good brooms to sweep, but what if it gets full under the carpet,’ Berberović-Gagro wrote in the post.
˝On Saturday, the prosecutor on duty issued an order for the autopsy of the body of a man who died on Friday and was a user of the Tuzla Retirement Home. The autopsy, which will be performed soon, will determine the exact causes of death, i.e. whether the death of this elderly person is causally related to the fire, and we will inform the public about this. Also, what is certain is that the councilors in the city councils are not competent to determine and announce to the public the causes of someone’s death or to deal with investigative activities, said the spokesman of the TK Prosecutor’s Office, Admir Arnautović.
