Emphasizing the importance of cooperation with the French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Minister of Education and Science TK Ahmed Omerović confirmed that the increasing offer of languages can study in schools.
– This applies separately to another foreign language that students choose from sixth grade. In addition to the so far, German and Turkish languages, students choose the French language. It is very important that our students learn foreign languages. We are a country that strives for the European Union. For the European Union, it is very important that people speak French, given that the administrative center of the European Union is where French is spoken. So all these activities we look at in the future where we want our students to acquire knowledge and skills that will be practical to build their future career – said Omerović.
That the knowledge of French is great potential and opens a lot of career opportunities, the director of the French Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Cooperation and Culture Advisor France in Sarajevo Loé Lagrange.
– When I see so many children today I think interest is great and I am proud and satisfied. We hope to help interfering and developing – said Lagrange, noting that the Tuzla Canton is extremely active when it comes to interest in learning French.
In addition to the first primary school Živinice, the promotion of the French language was also held in the primary school “Novi Grad” Tuzla, where the practical workshop was attended by students in the class of other schools from Tuzla. The elementary school “Novi Grad” has introduced French last year and are already satisfied with the achieved.
