This year’s World Health Day Campaign calls for specific actions of governments, health institutions and civil society organizations in providing more accessible and better health care for mothers and newborns.

From the WHO they pointed out that health systems must be developed to address not only obstetric (pregnant) complications, but also mental health conditions, non-communicable diseases and family planning and to support the long-term welfare of women.

World Health Day plays a key role in raising awareness of many critical health problems that often remain neglected. Also, he promotes equality by emphasizing health as a thorough human right for all, regardless of geographical or socio-economic status.
