The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, today received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Li Fan, at the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
At the meeting, the previous good political and economic relations were highlighted, and the possibilities of improving cooperation were discussed, especially in the field of economy and infrastructure, announced the FBiH Government Office for Public Relations.
Ambassador Fan said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed her willingness to intensify cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and trade, as well as culture and education. On this occasion, she recalled successful projects in the field of infrastructure and renewable energy sources.
She also pointed out that many Chinese companies are interested in implementing projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prime Minister Nikšić expressed the hope that relations with the People’s Republic of China during Ambassador Fan’s mandate will be at an even higher level, and in this regard he informed the guest about the expressed interest of large Chinese companies in investments in the areas of road infrastructure, industry and energy.
The Federal Prime Minister said that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains open to new investments, and that, in accordance with legal provisions, he expects the participation of interested Chinese companies in public invitations and tenders.
During this meeting, it was emphasized that the People’s Republic of China and our country are developing relations based on mutual respect and friendly cooperation.
