Children from all 107 preschool institutions and three Centers for Education and Rehabilitation of the Sarajevo Canton participate in the three-day event “Preschool Days”, implemented within the Cultural and Artistic Creature of Preschoolers in the School 2024/2025. year.
The event, as in previous years, organized a public institution for the Institute for Development of Pre-University Education of the KS, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Education of the HP.
Through carefully designed content, the goal is to highlight the importance of quality and modern preschool education, encourage children to move, game and communion, and strengthen the links between family, kindergarten and community.
The event started with sports activities under the slogan “Walk right, be healthy”, realized on the grounds in all nine municipalities in the KS, with a central event in the Hall of “Goran Chengić”, where more than 500 children participated. More than 2,500 children were participating in the activities in activities throughout the cantons. The children through play, movement and team spirit promoted healthy life habits and the importance of staying outdoors.
“Preschool education must be the priority of each educational policy, because it begins the construction of a healthy, resistant and socially responsible individuals for the system’s first steps to knowledge and values,” Fahira Kalajdžisalihović, Assistant Minister for preschool and basic education.
On the second day, the kindergartens opened their doors to parents and associates, demonstrating activities under the slogan “program tailored to the child”. Through the thematic workshops and the presentation of daily work, the significance of the curriculum for early and preschool education, as well as a partnership with the family.

The final day of the event will be held tomorrow at the open scene of the Center “Safet Zajko” in Halilovići.
Children from the mandatory program will be presented through the music-stage program, while in parallel, the sales bazaar “Picture books – my friend” will be organized, with the aim of raising funds for equipping library corners in kindergartens.
The three-day event “preschool days” once again confirmed that preschool education was not just preparing for school, but the foundation of a healthy childhood that rests on love, play and understand.
The KS Ministry remains strongly committed to further systematic support for institutions that form the first steps of children to knowledge, values and safe growing up daily.
