The Gorska Rescue Service of the Federation of BiH received an emergency call of an emergency medical assistance in which the disappearance of several foreign nationals in Salakovac is reported, north of Mostar.
According to the first information, there were people who were lost on hard and dry terrain, without a sufficient amount of water and basic equipment.
“The Gorska Rescue Service immediately interrupted educational activities and mobilized the emergency intervention team. A search was organized in coordination with urgent medical assistance and members of the Mostar Police Administration, Transfers N1.
Foreign citizens were found in extremely exhausted state, with signs of severe dehydration and physical collapse caused by exposure to high temperatures and lack of water. Some of them were disoriented and incapable of movement, “allegations from GSS.
On the spot, they were given the necessary first aid, including rehydration and stabilization of the situation, after which they were evacuated to the nearest access point where the medical team was taken over.
“Thanks to the rapid reaction and professionalism of all the involved services, the harder effects of the injured are prevented. This action is once again confirmed by the importance of the rescue, emergency and police, which they have been able to locate the lost people,” said from GSS FBiH.
