PETTIGREW: Inactivity of the international community is complicity in violation of the right to remember

In the Hairpiece interview, Pettigrew said that the resolution, thanks to the Diplomatic Efforts of the Ambassador of BiH, in the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija and his team, convicted his denudation and the glorification of convicted war criminals, and invited to educational activities and commemorations around the world.

– The inactivity of the High Representative concerning these issues, after numerous survivor’s appeals, is actually complicating the rights to memorialize, inviting the OHR to use the Bonn Powers to legally protect and converted to national memorial characteristics.

Pettigrew assessed that the Republika Srpska and Serbia authorities strengthened the negation of genocide and threatening after the adoption of the resolution, culminating the adoption of the “Declaration of the World Council”. – The rebel actions of Milorad Dodik and the RS National Assembly hold the state of BiH and its citizens as hostages. In order to meet UN Resolution, the international community must determine resolutely in defense rights to commemoration, democracy and the rule of law – it concluded Pettigrew.
