Ambulances are located in central facilities of health centers in the Old Town, Center, Novi Sarajevo, Novi Grad, and employs 10 doctors and 20 nurses. In the opening procedure, there are three other ambulances in the municipalities of Vogošća, Hadžići and Ilijaš.
The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Nihad UK emphasized the importance of such initiatives to help the defense population.
“Our heroes deserve to receive the best possible health care and support. We show the opening of these ambulances and improving services to appreciate their victim and take care of their health,” Prime Minister UK pointed out.
Within the comprehensive Health Policy of the Ministry of Veterans’ KS and Minister Ommanović, the project of equipping the Veterans Department in the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdullah Nakaš” is carried out. 1,000,000 KM is provided for this project, and project documentation is being prepared and the acquisition of the required permits.
In the parallel process, the opening project is implemented for PTSD at the Psychiatric Hospital of Sarajevo Canton, for which 300,000 KM was transferred from the budget. The contractor was selected, and the works are in the final phase.
“We are especially proud of the Preventive Health Reviews for Veterans, which was first implemented in the year. During the previous year, which was reviewed by 200,000 KM, for which we plan to provide about 900 preventive reviews for the veteran population,” emphasizes UK.
These projects, added the Prime Minister, clearly show that Sarajevo Canton is standing with his defenders, ready to provide them with health care and dignified life.
