The New York Knicks are the winners of the NBA Cup after beating the San Antonio Spurs 124-113 last night in the finals played in Las Vegas.
OG Anunoby hit five 3-pointers and scored 28 points as the New York Knicks overcame an 11-point deficit in the third quarter.
NBA Cup MVP Jalen Brunson he recorded 25 points and eight assists, and the Knicks won their sixth straight game and 10th in their last 11 games – although the tournament finals do not count in the regular season standings and statistics.

Karl-Anthony Towns added 16 baskets and 11 rebounds despite missing more than 12 minutes with a left calf problem. Jordan Clarkson scored 15 points and fellow reserve Mitchell Robinson had 15 rebounds (10 offensive) for the Knicks.
In the ranks of the defeated team Dylan Harper scored 21 points, and Victor Wembanyama, who played just 25 minutes after missing 12 games with a calf injury, added 18 points.

San Antonio only scored in the last quarter five of 19 shotsand was outplayed 35-19.
De’Aaron Fox had 16 points and nine assists, Stephon Castle had 15 points and 12 assists, and Luke Kornet added 14 points for the Spurs.
New York was kicking 46.7% from the gameincluding 15 of 40 (37.5%) 3-pointers. The Spurs hit 41.4% of their field goal attempts and went 14-of-39 (35.9%) from behind the three-pointer.
After the Knicks are in the third quarter made up for the deficit of 11 pointsthe Spurs led 94-89 before that last part of the game.
The Knicks scored their first eight points and went 11 of 12 early in the fourth quarter, turning a five-point deficit into a 100-95 lead.

After Harper hit a 3-pointer with two minutes and 42 seconds left, Anunoby also hit a 3-pointer to give New York an eight-point lead with 1:56 left. Tyler Kolek later scored four straight points, and the Knicks extended their lead to 12 points as they closed out the game.
This is the first trophy for the New York Knicks since 1973 when they won the title of NBA champion.
