“Israel extends its hand to all its neighbors, the bearers of peace and prosperity, and calls on them to normalize relations with Israel and join it in expelling Hamas and its supporters from the region,” it added.
“In cooperation with the United States and other countries that have signed up to President Trump’s plan, we expect to receive the bodies of all deceased hostages without delay and begin the process of ending Hamas’ rule over Gaza,” the statement said.
Under the terms of a US-brokered cease-fire agreement that took effect on October 10, the Palestinian Islamist movement has yet to return the bodies of three hostages taken during the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that started the war.
