Croatian footballer Luka Modrić has recovered from a cold and will be in Real Madrid’s squad for Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup match against Barcelona.
“It was just a cold and he’s already recovered. Today he practiced according to a special program, and tomorrow he will train with his teammates. He will be on the roster for the game,” Real’s official said.
Real Madrid and Barcelona will play the Supercup final in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Sunday at 8 p.m. Croatian time.
Modricthe 39-year-old captain of Real Madrid, missed Thursday’s semi-final match with Majorcain which his teammates won 3:0. On that day, Real Madrid reported on its website that the Croatian midfielder had dropped out of the squad due to a virus.
On Friday, the club published a photo of Modric training in the gym. Saturday is the last practice before the game. Modrić played in 27 games for the royal club this season, scoring a goal four assists and two goals.
