Speaking about the current situation in our country’s national team, specifically about coach Sergej Barbarez, Misimović made a rather cryptic comment.
“It is planned to be a long-term project. However, nothing goes without results in football. Yes, it is a project, but without results it is difficult,” said Misimović.
Soon after these words, speculations began that Barbarez no longer enjoyed the support he had at the beginning of his mandate.
Barbarez got a four-year contract, but the result does not serve him for now, because in the eight games so far on the bench of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he achieved only two draws and six defeats.
Given that Zvjezdan Misimović was previously an adviser to the president of the NFSBiH Vic Zeljković, but also that he is still close to the first man of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
