This program is focused on the economic empowerment of women survivors of family and gender-based violence that come out of safe houses, and with the aim of their independence and prevention of re-violence.
“With this program, we complete the cycle of support for women survived by family and gender-based violence. Through mentoring support, education and now financial assistance, we want to enable them to gain conditions for financial independence and go to a new beginning. This is necessary because the data says that victims of violence return to bullies precisely because they are financially dependent on him and that they have no support to start the life of scratch, “said Minister Delic.
The program “with her for her freedom” was the result of the campaign for 16 days of activism against violence against women, initiated by the Magazine Grace in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and Safe Houses in the Federation of BiH.
Donor evening held in December last year at the closing of the 16 days of activism campaign was the first step in securing funds for its implementation. As part of this campaign, 30,000 KM was collected, which are the initials of this program that will be distributed according to applications based on the stated needs that will come from these five safe houses.
“This is an important step forward in providing concrete support for women survivors. Our goal is to ensure not only safety, but also the possibility of creating their future, “said the main and responsible editor of the Mercih Mercih magazine.
“We know how important it is important to women after leaving safe houses to make the opportunity to work, to educate themselves and to strengthen economically. This program gives them this chance after the rehabilitation process that pass through our programs. This is finally the last step in the cycle of our struggle to allow our customers to start a new, safe life.
