– Hamas must accept that it has no role in the transitional administration or in the future Palestinian state, and must be disarmed in order to prevent it from continuing to pose a threat to regional stability – Meloni said in the Senate, addressing parliament ahead of the European Union summit this week, reports ANSA.
She emphasized that even in recent days we have witnessed the brutality of this organization, including against the Palestinians themselves, through dangerous series of executions without trial, which she considers unacceptable.
– These are necessary preconditions for the recognition of the State of Palestine by Italy, as stated by this Parliament. The government is ready to act accordingly when those conditions are met – she said.
