Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev will have to pay a fine of $76,000 for his bad behavior at the Australian Open where he destroyed a camera and missed an afternoon press conference.
During the match against Thailand’s Kasidit Samrei (ATP-418th), the world number five damaged the camera at the net by repeatedly hitting it with his racket.
On Thursday, Medvedev missed the press conference after his sudden loss to American Learner Tien (ATP-121), in a match that ended at three past midnight.
During the match, Medvedev threw his racket into the billboard and argued with the referee.
