Majorettes from Mostar took part in the 64th Cavalcade de la Saint Sylvestre festival in the town of Saintes in the west of France in the period from December 27, 2025 to January 3, 2026. It is a festival that has traditionally been held for 64 years and is one of the largest New Year’s festivals in France.
The city of Saintes is part of the French region of Poitou-Charentes, which is famous precisely for the New Year’s festival Cavalcade de Saint Sylvestre which is organized every December 31. This festival also delighted the visitors many large sculptures which were meticulously made months before the festival.
The central sculpture of the festival was a character from the movie “Avatar” 14 meters long, 7.50 meters high, a real moving monument which really delighted the visitors, as well as the participants. By the way, the figure of Avatar was declared the best figure at the festival in Nice in 2025, and as the winner was given the honor of adorning this year’s Cavalcada in Saintes.
It took part in this festival 12 teams from all over Europeand – according to the festival’s official data – it was visited by over 25,000 people.
The tour was of special importance because it was organized in the year when our club celebrates its 30th anniversary. The year was focused on travel, so when we received an invitation from our agency FV Production to end the year with a trip to a festival in France right on New Year’s Eve, we were overjoyed to be able to see Stara off together and welcome the year 2026.Mostar majorettes announced.

They went on this tour together with Mining Music Kakanjwith whom they had the opportunity to collaborate for the first time, and were also the only representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina at this international festival.

Majorettes of Mostarand on this tour they once again promoted Mostar, the county, but also the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a dance. In addition to the official part of the tour, they also visited Milan and Turin.
