Kevin Durant: Jokic the best player in the world, among the top 10 of all time

The Denver Nuggets, led by three-time MVP Nikola Jokić, lost in Arizona against Phoenix 110:100 in the Christmas clash in the NBA. Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal scored 27 points each in the Suns’ victory, and Jokic had 25 points and 15 rebounds for Denver.

In this game, Jokić remained well below his season averages in points (30.9) and assists (9.7), of which he recorded only two. Many NBA analysts believe that the 29-year-old Somborac is wasting his best days in a team that is far from the championship ambitions of a few seasons ago, when Denver went all the way.

It is predicted that Denver will soon try to make a trade and bring Jokić a star for a teammate, and the most mentioned was Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat. In that case, it is possible that the Croatian national team member and Denver member Dario Šarić will be part of the trade and change the midfield.

After the game, Durant gave a big credit to Jokić: “We wanted to come back and play ‘harder’ and better, especially in the third quarter. We thundered, they are a physically strong team and they have the best player in the world, who is among the top 10 of all time – Nikola Jokić.”
