Members of the Široki Brijeg Karate Club achieved outstanding results at two competitions held last weekend.
Part of the team competed in the selection tournament in Osijek for the European Championship, while the younger selection performed at the 8th Mostar Open, where the club won second place overall among 51 clubs from six countries.
Medals won in Osijek
She was the most successful Iva Marić, who won the gold medal in the junior competition, while she took second place in the cadet category.
Valentino Slišković he reached gold in the junior heavyweight division. In the same category they also performed Viktor Kvesić and Mihael Hrkać – Viktor won the silver after a tight final decided by the ratio of the judges (3:2), while Mihael took the bronze.
Anamarija Glavina she was decorated with a bronze medal, while Lea Coric this time she took fifth place. The team in Osijek was led by a coach Goran Hrkać.
Second place at the Mostar Open
In Mostar, there is a younger team under the leadership Toni Hrkać and Antonije Šaravanje achieved extraordinary success and won second place overall at the 8th Mostar Open.
Gold medals Franjo Karačić, Ivan Karačić, Josip Cigić, Borna Bevanda, Toma Pavković, Petar Hrkać, Matej Zeljko and Ana Lovrić won.
Silver medals Emanuel Crnjac, Karlo Spajić, Matia Pavković, Ivan Jelić and Marija Kordić, as bronze medals Borna Bevanda, Matia Pavković, Marta Kordić, Ivan Ćorić, Bruno Bevanda, Aleksandra Crnjac, Vanesa Musa and Ana Lovrić went home.
