Six-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler is ready to leave and wants the Miami Heat to trade him before the Feb. 6 deadline, ESPN reported Wednesday.
For weeks, reports have been circulating about the future of the 35-year-old veteran in Miami, where he has been playing since the 2019/2020 season.
ESPN previously reported that the Heat were considering trade offers, and Butler wants to be traded to a team like the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks or Houston Rockets.
Butler is making $49 million this season and has a $52 million player option for the 2025/26 season, which he reportedly intends to decline to become a free agent in May. This season, he averaged 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 20 games.
The Heat (14-13) are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
