Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic will be sidelined for the next four weeks, his club announced.
Jokic suffered a sprained left knee during his team’s 123-147 loss on the road at the Miami Heat on Monday night.
It was feared that the injury could be of a more serious nature, but the news that came in today is a relief for Nuggets fans.
Due to the injury, the Serbian center will not play for at least four weeks, after which he will undergo a medical evaluation again, according to the club’s official statement.
The injury occurred at the end of the first half when his teammate Spencer Jones unintentionally stepped on Jokić’s foot.
