The international basketball tournament “Sarajevo Realway Winter Cup 2025” was opened today in Ilidža.
38 teams from seven countries are participating in the three-day tournament: Montenegro, Italy, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and the host Bosnia and Herzegovina, with around 500 young basketball players in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 categories.
The partners in the organization of this tournament are the basketball club Realway and the BT organization from Turkey.
– We want to set a new standard in the organization of basketball tournaments for young people. Considering that this is the first tournament of this kind, we are extremely satisfied with the response of the teams and we believe that in the future it will be more numerous with more participants from more countries – said Hasan Ibrahimoglu, founder of the BT organization and former Fenerbahce basketball player.
The matches will be played in the halls of Hotel Hills, KSC Ilidža and Hotel Malak.
