In September, consumer prices were 2.4 percent more than in the same month last year, there were statisticians based on data from the group of federal provinces.
In August, they rose 2.2 percent, which signals the first acceleration of inflation since December last year.
The comparison with the previous month shows something stronger price growth – by 0.2 percent compared to August, when they rose by 0.1 percent.
When food and energy is excluded, the annual inflation rate in the first fall of the month rose 2.8 percent. During the summer, it was 2.7 percent.
In September, they have increased the services in September – by 3.4 percent compared to the same month last year. In August, the prices of services rose by 3.1 percent.
The growth of food prices has slowed significantly – with 2.5 percent in August to 2.1 percent in the early fall.
Energy prices in September were lower by only 0.7 percent compared to last year, while in August were lower in as much as 2.4 percent.
Harmonized consumer price index (HICP), which enables the comparison between EU members, shows the growth of consumer prices by 2.4 percent compared to September last year. In August, they rose 2.1 percent on an annual basis.
On a monthly basis, the prices measured by HICP were increased in September by 0.2 percent, which is twice as much as the previous month, show preliminary data of Destatis.
