India and Russia will hold intergovernmental trade talks in Moscow on November 13, Director General and CEO of the Federation of Indian Exporters (FIEO) Ajay Sahai confirmed to the Russian news agency TASS. The Indian delegation will be led by Commerce Ministry Secretary Rajesh Agrawal.
– Government-to-Government (G2G) talks between India and Russia will be held on November 13. The secretary of the Ministry of Trade is traveling to Moscow, and at the same time we are organizing a meeting between buyers and sellers, where several organizations will cooperate – said Sahai.
According to the head of the FIEO, the talks could include an agreement on the establishment of a free trade zone between India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as other important topics of bilateral economic cooperation.
Sahai also reminded that from November 11 to 14, more than 20 Indian companies are participating in the international exhibition of engineering equipment in Moscow, which further highlights the growing trade activity between the two countries.
