As part of the operational action “Market 2”, which the Directorate for Indirect Taxation (UIO) has implemented from the beginning of the year in the territory of the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, a larger amount of cut tobacco and tobacco in the list was taken. Specifically, the 500 kg of cut tobacco and 50 kg tobacco in the list, whose market value is estimated at 110,000 KM.
Authorized officials in the area of the Mostar Regional Center in cooperation with the Buna Police Station officers conducted operational action and took 140 kg of cut tobacco and 50 kg tobacco in the list.
Authorized IT officials in the area covered by Tuzla Regional Center have temporarily seized 360 kg of finely cut tobacco, in three separate activities.
In particular, 50 kg of finely cut tobacco was found in a natural person, while the vehicle search was performed in cooperation with the Police Officials of the MUP Tuzla Canton and 310 kg of finely cut tobacco was found.
Dept of the tobacco was not marked by excise stamps, and was packaged and intended for further sales in the “black market” in BiH. Report on the criminal offense was submitted against the suspects “illicit turnover of excise products”.
The Indirect Taxation Administration called all citizens in a statement to the public that the ITI number 080 02 06 07 reports any form of illegal trade, tax or customs evasion. All calls are free and completely anonymous.
