The association Pomozi.ba launched an urgent appeal to collect help for 36-year-old Idriz Busuladžić, a young father of two who is fighting the hardest battle of his life.
Idriz’s life is in danger and he needs the fourth operation in just one year, for which 85,000 euros are urgently needed.
Tough fight with cancer
Idriz went through a long and exhausting journey of treatment. In August 2024, he operated on a tongue tumor, which was followed by a series of radiotherapy and radiation treatments.
Despite the therapies, the tumor continued to grow and spread to the lymph nodes, neck and jawbone. Two more demanding operations followed, including the removal of part of the jaw, lymph nodes and neck muscles, and a skin transplant.
Meanwhile, his condition further worsened. The tumor has eaten a large part of his jaw, and doctors in Germany urgently require a new operation during which as much as 70% of the jaw would be removed, together with the rest of the tumor tissue, and reconstruction and transplantation would be performed.
The family has exhausted all possibilities – the help of good people is needed
Until now, the family has financed all operations and treatments themselves, and with the help of friends and humanitarians, they managed to collect 34,000 euros for the continuation of treatment. However, they have now exhausted all resources, and the operation that can save Idriz’s life costs as much as 85,000 euros.
