The Ministry’s delegation, in memory and respect, took flowers to the central memorial to the dead fighters and civilian victims of war in the center of Srebrenik. As part of the Marking Program, Minister Hurtić also attended the Ceremonial Academy held at the House of Culture Srebrenik.
“Srebrenik is a city of rich history, but also the city of solid foundations of communion and survival. Today’s Day is a reminder that we must keep and cultivate the values that connect us, peace, coexistence and dignity of every man,” Hurtić said.
The Chief of the Cabinet Minister, Jasmin Handžić, emphasized the importance of local communities in the process of strengthening the state:
“Strong municipalities and cities are the foundation of strong Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees remains committed to local communities, especially those that continuously invest in return, integration and equal development.”
“The celebration of the Day of Srebrenica is an opportunity to recall our historical roots, but also to look into the future in the direction of equal opportunities, solidarity and common progress,” Rožnaković’s adviser pointed out.
The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees would congratulate all the citizens of Srebrenik the day of the city with the message that the Royal City remains a symbol of dignity, resistance and hope.
