The camp brings together young tennis players from several countries who are working on sports development under the professional supervision of trainers from BiH and China and the exchange of knowledge and cultural value.
Coach Club Mostar Stari Grad, Faris Zukić, said his great honor and pleasure on this important event for Mostar and the region – the first International Summer Tennis Camp, organized in cooperation with the renowned Chinese academy and tennis from Dongguan.
– This cooperation is an important step forward for the development of tennis in BiH. The Camp in Mostar gathered young tennis players from several countries who train supervised by top coaches from BiH and China, with the goal of not only sports development, but also exchange of knowledge and cultural values – Zukić said.
He added that the number of participants this year was limited to 16 due to available playgrounds and high temperatures during the day, expressing hope that in the coming years will be able to expand the camp capacity.
He also pointed out that at the invitation of Wang Jingtao, the director of the Academy and Tennis, had the privilege travel to Dongguan, where he took the role of the main trainer of the Academy and developed a training system.
He emphasized that he was traveling with him and colleague Toni Krešić as a fitness trainer and that their team today has four members, with plans for further expansion and a clear vision of development.
– The aim of cooperation with the Aidong Academy was the development of top international players, and the Dubrovnik Dubrovnik also confirms Zukić to plan the next higher level, the applications were already open and worked on the expansion of cooperation.
The director of the tennis club and to Dongguan Wang Jingtao said this event opens a new chapter in the story of sports and mutual understanding.
– From the first day in Mostar, I felt that tennis not knowing the boundaries – the energy and passion of trainer Faris inspired every child. The language was not a barrier, Chinese and BH. The children connected through play and friendship. Participating in the Dub Bowl Tournament in Dubrovnik and the common celebration of the semifinals showed the true strength of the sport – its power to unite people. This camp is a confirmation of our vision that Chinese children get to know the world, and we have selected Mostar due to the expertise of coaches and the sports spirit that combines diversity – said Jingta.
He pointed out that there were 12 young Chinese tennis players in Mostar, hoping that the combination of Dongguan and Bosnian sports passions will encourage new sparks of friendship and cooperation.
– Every drop of sweat, every new friend and every moment of sadness away from home make this journey worth remembering. Tennis will take you to many places, but more important than the result is what you become on that path – young people with sparks in the eyes and firm steps – said at the end of Jingta.
The Old Tennis Club of Mostar Stari Grad signed a strategic agreement on the Cooperation with the Chinese Academy and the Tennis Club, which opens a new, modern and global dimension of tennis development in Mostar and the region.
The agreement was signed by the MOSTAR Old Town Coach, Faris Zukuć, and the director of the Academy, and Tennis, Wang Jingta, and the Homemade Exchange, organization of international competitions and joint camps and programs for young athletes.
