Branimir Mlačić made a key step towards a career transfer after Hajduk reached an agreement with Inter Milan.
According to the Italian daily Tuttosport, all conditions in between two clubs are agreedand it remains to finalize the personal terms between the player and the Nerazzurri. It should only be a formality and it is not expected to present any obstacle.
One key detail has changed in the now advanced stage of the deal. Inter’s original plan was for Mlačić to immediately move to Italy and join their U23 team, but that option was rejected. Instead, the 18-year-old stopper will stay in Poljud on loan until the end of the season. With such an outcome both the player and his representatives, as well as the Whites’ strategist, are satisfiedGonzalo Garcia, who considers Mlačić an indispensable part of his tactical plans in the fight for trophies.
5 million euros to Hajduk
The agreed compensation amounts to five million euros, which represents a significant financial boost for the Split club and additional confirmation of Hajduk’s reputation in the development of top defensive talents, writes Germanijak.

Italian media reports that they are in favor of the young stopper giants like Barcelona and Marseille were also interestedbut they eventually withdrew from the race, leaving Inter open to the signing. As soon as the remaining formalities are completed, Mlačić will officially become an Inter player, while his immediate focus will remain on the successful completion of the season in the white jersey.
