The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, 26. July in Altheim, and the information announced the public from Ulm in Monday morning.
According to the first results of the investigation, the child was in the stretcher behind the car ruled by the father. According to the police, he believed that the baby had already placed the baby into the vehicle. However, that did not come. When he headed back, he didn’t notice the stretcher behind the car and ran over it, along with the baby.
It is assumed that a child was out of the stretcher for some reason, and the wheel of the car then caught him, inflicting deadly injuries.
The emergency room quickly arrived on the scene, but doctors could only find the death of a child.
The State Prosecutor’s Office from Ulm ordered forensic expertise to clarify all the circumstances of the accident. The local community is deeply shaken by this event, which opened numerous issues on the safety of children and the importance of parental attention in traffic.
