Among other things, Gegić also spoke about the BiH national team, and referred to the recent victory over Croatia in Skenderija with a score of 110:90.
“Croatia has a richer basketball history than Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the moment, however, we have a better team, so such a final result did not surprise us. In my opinion, this is a realistic reflection of the current situation between these two national teams,” said Gegić.
When asked how much it would mean to him if the BiH national team played again at Eurobasket, Gegić answered:
“This team has been together for five years and we certainly have the quality to play against the biggest European teams. After all, that was already proven by the victories against France and Slovenia. In the upcoming games, we will do our best to qualify for the Eurobasket.”
“It is a great pity that one of the three national teams – namely France, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia – will not be able to win a place at the competition of the best European national teams”, concluded Gegić’s interview with Tportal.
