I am very satisfied with the state of the team. During the break, the players trained hard. They had five blocks of training that took place. We have been following everyone in our WhatsApp group, I am happy with the state in which they came back.
Do you think this staff will be enough for the championship title?
On paper this is not enough, but I don’t look at things on paper, I don’t look for alibis. I’m not concerned with whether anyone will come or not. I have what I have. We train hard, we move on. We have 18 league games plus one in the cup. We are not the strongest team in Croatia, but we will fight.
How do you comment on the arrival of Fabio Cannavaro to Dinamo?
Fabio knows that he has taken over a great team with great players, but also a team with problems. I talked to him. I wish him the best, but I don’t want him to win the title. He was my captain, we went through many battles together. We’re rivals now.
Who is more dangerous in the fight for the title, Dinamo or Rijeka?
On paper, Dinamo is the strongest. They have two teams. In terms of quality, they are the strongest. In the last 20 years, they have won 19 titles. They were already in a similar situation, they are able to achieve 20 wins in a row. Seven points are behind us and Rijeka, but that is not much.
