The Chief of the Municipality of Šamac Đorđe Milićević said that the joint implementation of coordinated measures, which includes larvicid treatments and the dusting of adult mosquito beams, was agreed on last night.
The meeting was agreed to be sent to a joint letter to assist the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republika Srpska, as well as line ministries in the Federation of BiH.
– In the letter, we point to an alarming situation on the field and seek support through air treatments and other appropriate measures – Milićević said.
He reminded that in the municipalities of Šamac, it is already dusted by adult forms of mosquitoes, but that, given the weather conditions that favor their reproduction, uncertain how effective this treatment will be effective.
– That is why additional support for higher institutions is necessary, in order to protect the health and quality of life of our citizens – Milićević said, RTRS.
