The slalom miracle from Sljemen is still recounted today, and on the occasion of the anniversary, the FIS also remembered it. The legendary Lindsey Vonn reacted to the published video.
It happened on January 5, 2006 in Sljemen, during the Snow Queen race. After the first race, Janica was only seventh, but in the second race, a miracle happened. Already at the start, she was left without a stick and gloves, but despite everything, she continued to drive.
Without a stick and with one glove, Janica drove a ride to remember, reached the top and caused an eruption of enthusiasm on Sljemen. The scenes of that slalom are still recounted today, two decades later.
On the occasion of the round anniversary, FIS published a video of that legendary race on its official channels. The video has collected almost 130 thousand likes and more than a thousand comments, and many fans point out that Janica is the greatest of all time for them.
