The penalty refers to fan violations in last month’s match against Cyprus.
NSBiH was fined 8,500 Swiss francs (a little more than 17,000 KM) because of the fans.
Our Association was fined for “order and safety”, i.e. throwing objects and causing damage.
“All associations and clubs are responsible for the inappropriate behavior of one or more of their fans and may be subject to disciplinary measures and instructions even if they can prove the absence of any negligence in connection with the organization of the match,” reads Article 17 of the FIFA Disciplinary Regulations, which refers to causing damage and throwing objects.
Last month, FIFA fined our Association with a total of 54,500 Swiss francs (approximately 115,000 KM) due to omissions in the qualification matches for the 2026 World Cup against San Marino away from home and Austria at Bilino polje.
