FBI Director Kash Patel said Friday that the agency foiled a “potential terrorist attack” that was planned in northern Michigan over the Halloween weekend.
“This morning, the FBI thwarted a possible terrorist attack and arrested multiple individuals in Michigan who were allegedly planning a violent attack over the Halloween weekend,” Patel said in a post on the X platform.

He added that more details about the alleged conspiracy will be released later.
The police department in Dearborn, a city west of Detroit, said on Facebook that the FBI conducted an operation in the area early Friday morning.
– We want to assure our residents that there is currently no threat to the community – said the police.
